R&M provided PS&E for rehabilitation of 500,000 SF of deteriorated apron and taxiway pavement, including topographic surveying and geotechnical recommendations. R&M designed the replacement of deteriorated PCC hardstand panels and expanded the hardstand to better accommodate existing operations at the main terminal. Surveying, geotechnical/pavement, and design (two submittals) were completed in less than 75 days in order to capture federal funding. A follow-on design to repair failing deicing pad piping and to construct improved maintenance access to the deicing pad collection system was completed and negotiated as a change order with the construction contractor.
