Description
R&M Consultants, Inc. is a well-established, employee-owned multi-discipline Alaskan firm. Over the past 16 years, R&M has established ourselves as a leading provider of construction administration services on publicly-funded projects.
R&M is currently seeking a team-oriented field inspector to support ongoing construction projects throughout Alaska.
The field inspector will be responsible for performing inspection services to provide assurance that improvements are constructed in conformance with plans and specifications. The successful applicant will interact with contractors and project owners with regard to general construction activities. The inspector will also complete reports conforming to IBC Chapter 17 requirements noting any deficient work.
The successful applicant for this position will be required to travel within the state of Alaska.
The successful applicant will also be expected to represent R&M and actively participate in professional organizations and community activities.
The field inspector will report to the Project Engineer on a daily basis.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires a minimum of two years performing inspection services on federal and state-funded projects. Other desirable qualifications include experience on Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities construction projects, experience in materials testing, WAQTC certification, AK-CESCL, as well as basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. All candidates should have good interpersonal abilities for working in a dynamic team environment and strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have a valid Alaska Drivers License.
