Alex Brown, WAQTC
Staff Geologist
Alex is a geologist with five years of experience in geotechnical investigations and materials testing. His responsibilities primarily include soil sampling, rock coring, investigation planning, geotechnical reporting, mapping and soils testing. Alex is experienced with many investigation methods, such as hollow-stem auger drilling, rotary-wash boring, Macro-Core sampling, rock coring, Shelby tube sampling, environmental sampling, monitor well installation, dynamic cone penetrometer, seismic refraction and electrical resistivity. He has participated in investigations in nearly all regions of Alaska, which has provided Alex a solid foundation in geotechnical investigation methods and a well-rounded understanding of Alaskan geology.

If you weren’t doing your current job, what would be your dream job?
Archaeologist or historian. -

Before settling down at R&M, I bikepacked the Colorado Trail. -

Space, ancient history, sociology/anthropology, technology and most importantly, what I'll be having for dinner tonight. -
