Ryan McCormick, WAQTC
Materials Laboratory Supervisor
Ryan has 23 years of experience testing construction materials, and currently serves as the Construction Materials Laboratory Supervisor in R&M’s AASHTO Accredited and USACE validated materials laboratory. He handles general duties, including daily materials testing, staff training, field staff support, field mobile laboratory and equipment support, calibration, maintenance, AASHTO and CCRL accreditation/certification, nuclear radiation safety program. Ryan is also the nuclear radiation safety officer (RSO). He has been involved in projects for a variety of commercial and government clients, including roadways, airports, schools and other facilities. Ryan performs testing of soils, aggregate, concrete and asphalt paving materials in the field and laboratory.

What places are on your travel bucket list?
I like a lot of local travel, camping and fishing, and anywhere with good college sports. -
What are you most likely doing on the weekend?
I have three very active kids. We spend a lot of time at hockey rinks, baseball/softball fields, camping and fishing. -
If you weren’t doing your current job, what would be your dream job?
Sports announcer/play-by-play broadcaster. -
What are you curious about?
I like history, anything to do with military history. -
What is one skill you are currently working on?
Time Management. I’m always trying to manage my time better and stay one step ahead.
