Environmental Geologist
Vanessa is an environmental geologist with eight years of experience providing professional environmental and geological services. She understands the technical challenges of a diverse range of projects. Vanessa’s expertise includes soil, groundwater, soil gas, indoor air sampling and analysis; hazardous building material inventories; storm water planning and inspection; site assessment and remediation; and Phase I environmental site assessments. Vanessa supports contaminated site and geotechnical investigation work for a variety of Alaskan infrastructure projects.

What are you most likely doing on the weekends?
Backpacking, relaxing at home, household projects or driving somewhere for a weekend away. -
If you weren’t doing your current job, what would be your dream job?
Either a research geologist/volcanologist or a pilot. -
What is a fun fact few people know about you?
I’m currently working on my private pilot license. -
If you could choose one superpower, what would it be?
Flying or being able to swim to the depths of the ocean without air or equipment. -
What are your favorite books?
Nearly anything by Stephen King and the Harry Potter series.
