Warren Garner and Branson Lee, EIT, WAQTC recently joined R&M as Staff Engineers in the firm’s Engineering Department. Warren is in the firm’s Site development Group where he will assist with design of urban and rural site development projects. Branson is in the firm’s Utilities Group where he will assist in the planning and design of sanitation and utilities projects.

Warren joined the R&M team in January 2025 after earning his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2024. While attending school, he interned with the Municipality of Anchorage and a local civil engineering firm, where he gained experience collecting traffic data using pneumatic hose counters and radar boxes. Warren also worked as a ground hand for Central Gravel Products in Wasilla, where he developed a deeper understanding of construction materials and processes.

I wanted to work for R&M due to the variety of projects I would get to work on. When I worked at Alaska State Parks, I was introduced to civil site design and it piqued my interest,” said Warren. “When I interviewed, I was told about how R&M works with more rural Alaskan areas, and I found that fascinating. Those types of projects seem to provide interesting engineering problems to solve; you are helping people and truly improving their daily life. – Warren Garner

Warren enjoys most anything outdoors, including biking, camping, gardening, hiking and a whole lot more. He can usually be found snowboarding, snowmachining or fishing on the weekends.

Branson is re-joining R&M full-time, after interning with the firm for the past two summers while attending Brigham Young University for civil engineering. He spent the first year in our Construction Administration Group as a field inspector, conducting concrete and asphalt paving inspections on transportation infrastructure projects in rural Alaska. His second year, Branson assisted with rural water and wastewater infrastructure projects for clients such as the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium.

I really enjoy working in utilities, creating water and wastewater systems for Alaskans. I love being able to solve the problems that are faced in this state when it comes to clean drinking water and sanitation systems,” said Branson. “I’m hoping to grow my abilities in this field, make some good connections and ultimately become a great engineer. R&M is a great place to do this because the people here are so helpful and knowledgeable. – Branson Lee

Branson is an Engineer-in-Training and Western Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction Qualified in Aggregate, Concrete, Embankment and Base, Density and AK Sampling. Outside of work, he spends his time playing with his daughter, hiking or tinkering. Branson also enjoys biking, camping, fishing and all the other outdoor activities Alaska has to offer.
