Bill Preston, PLS, GISP Named Vice President of Geomatics at R&M

Bill Preston, PLS, GISP has been named as the firm’s new Vice President of Geomatics. As R&M’s new Vice President of Geomatics, Preston will be responsible for management of the R&M’s Geomatics Department, which includes land surveying, right of way (ROW) services and geographic information systems.

Connecting a Community: Aleknagik Wood River Bridge

The Wood River Bridge project, located in southwest Alaska, approximately 20 miles northwest of Dillingham, extended roads and constructed a new 440’ long bridge across the Wood River. The bridge connects the entire community of Aleknagik, previously divided by the Wood River, to the existing roadway system and the regional economic hub of Dillingham.

Brian is a former R&M employee, originally joining the firm in 2008. He left in 2012 and rejoined R&M as a Senior Land Surveyor in October 2015.

R&M’s Len Story Named CEO

R&M CONSULTANTS, INC. (R&M) named Len Story, PLS as the firm’s new Chief Executive Officer and Bret Coburn as Chief Financial Officer, effective January 1, 2016. This is a planned change as laid out in the firm’s succession plan.
