The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is developing an interchange at the Seward Highway outside Girdwood. R&M is the prime consultant for this reconfiguration project, which will reduce traffic congestion and improve safety at the T-junction where the Alyeska and Seward Highways meet. The firm is providing civil design, environmental assistance, hydrology and public involvement. Design elements include an overpass over the Seward Highway, off-ramp and on-ramp, driveway connections to the nearby commercial developments, and a roundabout.
