Staff Engineer

Brandon started at R&M in 2022 as an Engineering Intern. In that role, he spent several summers working as a lab technician in R&M’s materials laboratory, and as a materials technician and construction inspector for airport and highway improvement projects in Alaska. Brandon recently graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a Civil Engineering degree and is now assisting with design of road, highway and trail projects as a part of R&M’s Surface Transportation Group.

  • What places are on your travel bucket list?
    I'd love to visit Italy for the food and architecture, Greece for the island hopping and Spain for the culture.
  • If you weren’t doing your current job, what would be your dream job?
    I'd love to be a Formula Drift competitor and pro surfer.
  • What are you curious about?
    I'm fascinated by String Theory and Quantum Mechanics.
  • When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
    When I was three years old I saw Star Wars The Phantom Menace for the first time. Ever since then I've wanted to be a Jedi.
  • What is one skill you are currently working on?
    I recently fell in love with hiking, so I'm trying to get better at it.
