  • What places are on your travel bucket list?
ALASKA! All of it! I'm from here, but somewhere new in AK is always at the top of my travel list. Otherwise it's Mexico, Scandinavian Peninsula, Scotland, Spain, Great Rift Valley, Great Barrier Reef...
  • What are you most likely doing on the weekend?
I try to do a really long ski or run depending on the season. But mostly we're picking up the pieces, trying to get the kids outside and struggling to finish house projects.
  • What are you curious about?
Everything! Human history and geography, motivation, sailing, how to travel through the desert.
  • When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Artist. Veterinarian. Jazz musician. Ninja turtle.
  • If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?
Some way to explore farther and faster. Fly like a bird? Swim like a sea lion? Bjorn Daehlie's VO2max? Any of those would do.
