David Carlson, PE
Project Engineer
David has eight years of civil engineering experience on a variety of surface transportation projects. These include road improvements, pavement preservation and traffic safety improvement projects. David is experienced in signing and striping, traffic control plans and the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D. He grew up in Alaska and loves seeing roads and infrastructure change the state. As the largest state in the U.S. and one of the least developed, David is excited for the potential of Alaska’s future.

What are you most likely doing on the weekend?
Catching up on errands, chores, and getting outside with my wife and kids. -
If you weren’t doing your current job, what would be your dream job?
I really enjoy experimenting with cooking. I'd want to be a head chef who creates new menu items. -
What is a fun fact few people know about you?
My dentist says I'm more evolved because I only have one wisdom tooth. -
What are you curious about?
Conspiracy theories and Dooms Day prepping. I want to acquire more survival skills and be ready to live off the grid. -
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?
I'd want either healing powers to help others or be able to fly because I'd have a ton of fun.
